This church does all out! I was amazed at the decor!! Unbelievable!! The best in the valley from what I have heard - I think the best I have ever seen in my whole life!! She brought a lot of life to our family and home. </div><div></div><div><br /></div><div>Graduation was at 10am on Saturday May 23, 2009. Her mother, Kate, and Aunt Kristin made it with a minute to spare before the graduates entered the gymnasium!! I was really starting to get worried but they made it! That made the graduation all the better.... Very easy to do with a WOW look to it!! We used the Big Shot to texture the Barely Banana CS so you have to look close from the ribbon down for the texturing....<br /><br /><br /><br />The second card below was done by basically scribbling all over the rubber stamp, then misting it with water and then stamping on the CS. We went to Target first and with coupons from Target for the market pantry fruit snacks and Mfg coupon for Johnson and Target coupons for Johnson toiletries I spent just $.99 on these 6 items. It is fun to watch the cashiers expression!!<br /><br />Then we went on to Archivers - which I have never been to before - and was that a fun stop!!! I can't wait to go back!! No coupons for that store but I will for my next visit as I am signed up with them now. I have one in my e-mail for $3 off $15 purchase.<br /><br />Oh yeah, there isn't tax on food in the Springs and the King Soopers (City Market) doubles coupons!! Very nice :)<br /><br />We went to King Soopers where I got Quaker hot cereal for $.50/box and free Quaker Quakes snack.....<br /><br />We then went to Sams club - can't use coupons there but I got a few good bargains like the big container of taco seasoning for about $4 and 2 large pkgs of yeast for about $3.50....<br /><br />We then stopped at Safeway and I got the items in the next picture for $3.48. The sauve was part of the buy 10 select items and get $5 off and it was also B2G1F. Everything except the Windex was part of the 10 item promo. The Polmolive was free after using the coupon, and the<br />Halls I actually made money on with a coupon for a free one up to $2.29. I think there were at least 3 million people there and it was in the 80's that day... we only stayed for 4 hours - it was hard to get close enough to see the animals! They were on sale for 2/$10 and the Walgreens ES coupon was $6 off of 2 = 2 for $4 and then the $1 each got it down to $2 for 2!! so, I got 4 for $4!!! Then, the Garnier shampoo was on sale for $2.99 and there was a $2 off coupon in the ES and I had mfg coupon for $1.00 on each... got shampoo and conditioner for -.01 each!! Then they had the Aquafresh toothpaste for .75 cents with store flyer coupon and I had a .55 off mfg coupon so I got the toothpaste for .22 cents!!!! Total was $5.50 after $1.28 in taxes - too bad they had to tax me on the whole amount before coupons! It would have only been $4.20!!!<br /><br />So, that was my exciting night at Walgreens!!! Jason was with me and he was impressed!!! I told her any of mine would be WAY too big for her but she could go get one of sissy's shirts.... so, she let this morning wearing her own shoes and pants, Brandy's shirt and hat and Lukes hoody! And she took with her Brandy's stuffed Webkinz... but her own blanky :)<br /><br />Then, we are on the way to Rhonda's and she told me (again) that she wants to try coffee. So, I hand her my cup that only has a little bit left in it. She takes a sip and says "that's tasty"! Tasty - where did she come up with that? So, yesterday we wanted to find something to do to prove Brandy wrong that we NEVER do ANYTHING.... so, I came up with the Hooper Pool - which is a natural hot springs pool just outside of Hooper, CO near the Sand Dunes.... we had so much fun! I forgot the camera though :(<br /><br />The kids thought they wouldn't be able to swim since they hadn't in so long but they remembered as soon as they hit the water!! There is a smaller pool that is 2' throughout the whole thing but Brooke got bored in that one and eventually stayed in the big pool - which BTW is outside!!! Steam coming off it - at times I couldn't even see the bigger kids in the deep end!<br /><br />By the time we left Brandy was holding her breath under water for 10-15 seconds, Luke was diving through his blowup ring, and Brooke was climbing out of the pool by herself, standing on the edge and showing me her muscles, grrrrring, and jumping in, going under, coming up and swimming back to start all over (she had a on a floatie vest)!!! This morning that is all she is talking about.... not going in the green pool anymore, just the blue one! The time is flying by!!! I have lots of pictures to post. I experienced my first Black Friday. Actually it started at 10:30pm on Thanksgiving and moved into Friday. The numbers of people crowding into stores just amazed me! I couldn't even get to display racks in some of the stores to look at the items I was interested in because of the numbers of people I would have had to push through! </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">Halloween was good. The kids trick-or-treated around our neighborhood and Halloween night dressed as Eeyore (Brooke), Storm Trooper (Luke), and Paul Abdul (guess), and a Hotdog (Samson), they paraded around downtown Monte the night before and merchants handed out treats.... and sometime before midnight someone smashed our pumpkins :( </span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">November was pretty uneventful. Thanksgiving was at Danielle's in Castle Rock with cousins and Grandpa (Dad) was here from N. CA. The food was wonderful. I drove Nikki up to Denver and showed her the 16th Street Mall and the Capital and some other misc. attractions in the area... Invesco field, 6 Flags, Pepsi Ctr..... homeless.... hookers.... oh, actually we didn't go down Colfax. We will save that for the trip we go to Casabonita! I haven't been there in 30 years at least so we will have to do that one trip up north! </span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">So, after shopping Black Friday and getting some okay deals (no electronics so wasn't that big of a deal).... we are now into December... I started teaching Nikki how to play and she is doing great!! We still haven't covered backhand but we went from just learning to hit the ball (not too hard) over the net to serving and then some of the rules of the game. We played a little bit and had some great volleys.... it's nice to have someone to play with right here at home!! Now, if we can just find time when we both are available to go play again!! It had been over 25 years since I had played before starting to play in August.... where does the time go?<br /><br />Luke was our ball fetcher (he doesn't know that though). He would take the handball raquet and hit the balls back to us from all over the court(s). He did a great job!! Didn't complain at all. We went to Jeane's to finish our necklaces and then off to the "Sugar Shack" for the ice cream I had promised. We then went to Safeway to get dinner supplies and then home to cook and eat dinner so she could open those presents and then we finished up with ice cream cake!! I actually met that teacher when at the elementary school for Brandy's reading test - she is very nice!<br /><br />So, by the end of this week I will have Brandy in 3rd grade and Luke in 1st. Brandy will start tomorrow so I am sure I will post another 1st day picture!! and Luke has only one day this week and that is Thursday! Which, as it turns out is my morning to play tennis so I will only have Brooke and she has a friends house to go to!! Nikoline arrived here at 9:45pm a week ago - August 14th - at the local airport. Her luggage did not :( So, our first introduction to the area was a shopping trip on Friday to the big city to buy clothes. Finally on Sunday afternoon the bags arrived - minus her I-Pod speakers. It is a mystery where they ended up - they were at the top of her large case. A birthday party, shopping and a wedding Saturday... Church, kids visiting friends, and stamping with new product for me and also I learned to play Guitar Hero for the first time on Sunday!! Monday was a visit to the hospital which ended up being a little frustrating but it was followed by swapping SU product with an other demo and lunch at BK (don't have one in the valley) and then a pedicure (which was badly needed) then over to Apryll's to make brownies (and more GH) and then her Body Works home party! More foot pampering!! and then Monday was over and we were on to Tuesday..... Checkup for Jason - not 100% yet on the hearing but very close.... then picked up Jason's friends, last order from Suppers, picnic lunch in F/C and back on the road home. I have 3 new cards posted using some of the new "In Colors" that will be available next month!!!! and 1 new stamp set "Sock Monkey" which is very cute!! The sock monkey is my own creation. In March I was cruising along... working a FT job and a PT job..... happy.... then the first part of April Drew applied for, interviewed for and was offered a job 250 miles away. In the middle of nowhere! All I can say is it is actually pretty here - mountains all around and a Ski Resort less than an hour away.... God's country Colorado!! Nice town from what I can tell so far. Everything seemed to fall into place and on June 7th we headed here. Drew did the drive back and forth every weekend for about 7 weeks. I am hoping that we will get settled and back into some sort of routine again soon.
